Health Care Worker Visa

If you are a qualified doctor, nurse, health professional or adult social care professional, and have been offered a job in the UK, this can be the right visa for you.

- Can I get any job? No! The job must be in the list of UK government approved jobs in the health and social care system. 

 - Can I get a job from any employer? No! The UK employer must be in the health and social care sectors and have been approved by the UK government. 

 - Can I bring my family with me? Yes! You can bring your partner and 'dependent' children. 

 - Do I need to know English? Yes! At least CEFR Level B1. For example, IELTS 4.5. 

  - How long is the visa for? For a maximum of 5 years. 

 - Can I extend this visa? Yes! There is no limit on how many times you can extend this visa. You may also be able to apply for settlement once you have been in the UK for 5 years.
