Meet the Team

  • Olga holds a degree in Law from South Bank University. She joined Elder Rahimi in April 2009 in an administrative role. Since October 2010 she has been a full-time caseworker. Olga is an accredited Level 2 Senior Caseworker under the Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme and works on a general immigration caseload. She is dealing with applications for entry clearance, extensions of stay and settlement and nationality applications. Olga is also fluent in Russian.

  • Mehran is the firm's Practice Manager. He is responsible for business development and strategic planning as well as all administrative and support services at our London and Folkestone offices. He has been with the firm since its inception in 2001 and has since been co-ordinating and supervising all financial, IT, and personnel matters. He holds a PhD in Computational Linguistics (Essex 2005) and is a member of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (since 1999).

  • Philippa was admitted as a solicitor in 2007, having previously been called to the Bar. She has over 14 years post qualification experience in all aspects of immigration, asylum and nationality law, as well as experience in private client (wills and probate). She is accredited by the Law Society as a Senior (Level 2) and Advanced (Level 3) caseworker. She recently took time away from the practice of law to obtain a master’s degree in Legal Translation (Spanish/English) at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, and is keen to pursue translation in her spare time.

  • Keith is one of our freelance advocates and accredited as a Level 2 Senior Caseworker. He read Politics at Warwick University and then worked in the private sector. After deciding on a career change, Keith was called to the Bar in 2000. Initially, he worked in Criminal, Family and Housing Law, before settling on Immigration and Asylum as his specialism. Keith was admitted to the Solicitors Roll in 2005.

  • As Director of Hodson Advocates Ltd, Tod provides a full range of advocacy services in the First-Tier and Upper Tribunals. Now an accredited Level 2 (Senior) Caseworker, he was called to the Bar in 2002. He previously taught at the University of Southern California, Birkbeck College and Kings College London.

  • Natalia holds a bachelors degree in Law from the University of West London. She is an accredited Level 1 Caseworker Assistant under the Law Society Immigration and Asylum Accreditation Scheme, primarily assisting senior caseworkers and solicitors with their caseload to ensure the smooth functioning of the firm. Natalia is a well-rounded individual with excellent interpersonal and transferable skills. She also has a wealth of experience in delivering exceptional customer care. Natalia is also fluent in Hindi.

  • Vira holds the position of Legal Admin Assistant to Ali Rahimi. Her role involves providing comprehensive administrative support and ensuring the smooth running of daily operations.

    Vira joined the team in 2023, bringing with her a substantive legal background from Ukraine, where she practiced as a qualified lawyer and earned a master’s degree in law.

    Currently, Vira is navigating the path to qualify as a Solicitor in the UK. She is also fluent in Ukrainian and Russian.

  • Ilda is the firm’s Receptionist. She holds a master’s degree in Public Relations and Communications from European University of Tirana. She joined Elder Rahimi in September 2020, and she is the first point of contact to our clients. Ilda has vast experience in customer care and has a very approachable and friendly personality. She believes in professionalism, integrity and enjoys talking over the phone as well as performing all other secretarial duties. Ilda is also fluent in Albanian and Greek.
